The cities of Brooklyn Park and Champlin provide group lessons following the USFSA Learn to Skate Program.
Many TRFSC members participate in group lessons in addition to their private lessons.*
*Skaters at all levels can join to be a member of TRFSC but membership is required to participate in group lessons at the Junior and Senior Club levels.
USFS LEARN TO SKATE PROGRAMS
A variety of levels are offered to skaters through this program.

PROGRAM’S OBJECTIVES
Class Options Vary By Area
Snow Plow Sam Levels 1-4
Introduces preliminary moves to preschool age skaters not ready for the Basic 1 level.
Basic Levels 1-6
These levels allow the beginning skater to feel comfortable on the ice while gaining the basic skating knowledge needed to advance into more advanced skills.
Pre-Freeskate and Freeskate Levels 1-6
Skaters learn jumps, spins and other exciting athletic and artistic moves.
Theater on Ice Levels 1-4
Theatre On Ice is a form of figure skating which combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theatre and dance.
Hockey
Introduces the basics of hockey skating skills with a focus on power and agility.
After the Basic Levels you will start to see the Classes Offered:
Junior Club***
For skaters working on USFS Pre-Freeskate and Freeskate 1 - 3 levels.
Senior Club***
For skaters working on USFS Pre-Freeskate and Freeskate 4 - 6 levels.
