COVID-19 Updates

7/25/2020 Update

Good morning fellow TRFSC Club Members and Coaches,

It has been great to see so many of our skaters back at the rink over the last few weeks, as well as see many of our TRFSC friends and families last week at the Awards Event and Annual Meeting.

In accordance with the new order from Governor Walz and guidance from MDH, face masks / covering will be required upon entry to the Brooklyn Park CAC building / rink, subject to the specified exceptions in the Governor’s Order.  Pursuant to one such exception, skaters will not be required to wear a face mask / covering while actively participating on the ice.  This is also the policy of the City of Brooklyn Park.

In addition, please take this opportunity to review the TRFSC COVID-19 Return to the Rink Plan & Policy as it identifies the procedures that skaters and families are required to follow.  Note that a copy is attached for your convenience.  Specifically, please remember that if you are symptomatic, you are to not enter the Brooklyn Park CAC building / rink.  Additionally, please remember that contracted for session switching is currently not allowed due to contact tracing requirements.  Our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy, but we can only achieve this goal with the help and participation of everyone.

Lastly, the Board has reviewed the results of our return to the rink.  We believe that over all things are going well.  Accordingly, we are working on an update to the TRFSC COVID-19 Return to the Rink Plan & Policy and associated functionality to accommodate contracted for session switches.  Please watch for more information in the next two weeks as to when contracted for session switching would be allowed and the associated limitations.  We are working hard to finalize the details and test the functionality to ensure we can meet the requirements of Federal, State, and Local authorities.

Know that we appreciate and value each of you as members and TRFSC families & Friends.  Please feel free to reach out to me or any of the Board Members with any questions or concerns.

Kindest regards,

Michael Martin

TRFSC President
